DIY Body Spray

Here at The Candlemakers Store, we’re more than just candles. We offer scents and supplies for many different applications, including body spray. Our Complete Body Spray Starter Kit is not only a great value, but it’s also a great way to get started making your own custom scented body sprays. If you don’t want to go with the starter kit, you’ll need the following items:

• Body Spray Base
• Plastic Spray Bottles
• Fragrance Oils

Once you have all of your supplies, it’s time to start making your own body spray. Follow this simple guide to make your very own body spray.

Step 1: Fill Spray Bottle(s)

Fill each bottle to the shoulder with body spray base liquid.

Step 2: Select and Add Fragrance

Add fragrance at 2-3% volume of base solution (approximately ½ to ¾ tsp. per 4 oz. bottle). Because fragrance strengths and personal preference differ, it’s best to start with a small amount of fragrance and add more as desired.

Step 3: Mix

Your body spray solution may look cloudy. If so, shake the bottle gently. The liquid will first turn bubbly and then clear.

Step 4: Label

You’ll want to label each bottle as you finish mixing in the fragrance. Because most fragrances are clear, it can be difficult to tell them apart when not labeled.

Step 5: Test and Adjust

Spritz your new body spray lightly to test the strength of the fragrance. Add additional fragrance if desired.

Step 6: Enjoy

Scent yourself with freshness or let others enjoy your endeavors.
